ROSS THOMSEN

Ross Thomsen is the owner and driving force behind Foley Range, bringing a lifetime of discipline, leadership, and results-driven performance to the business. A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Ross served honorably from 1995 to 1999, where he developed the core values of integrity, accountability, and mission-focused execution that continue to define his approach today.

Following his military service, Ross built a successful career spanning sales leadership, recruiting, and business development — including roles as Area Sales Manager with Capital One Auto Finance and Executive Recruiter working with C-level executives.

As owner of Foley Range, Ross is committed to creating a safe, professional, and community-focused environment for both recreational and training use. His vision is to establish Foley Range as a premier destination in the Gulf Coast region — one that emphasizes safety, education, and responsible firearm use while serving individuals, families, and professionals alike.

THE CASE FOR THE RANGE

WHY BALDWIN COUNTY
NEEDS THE FOLEY RANGE

Engineered Safety

Over $115,000 invested in earthwork including a 280-foot-wide earthen berm and firing lines 20 feet below grade — engineered for absolute community safety.

The Only Range South of I-10

The Foley Range would be the only privately owned supervised shooting facility south of I-10 in Baldwin County for the public — serving a community where ~55% of adults own firearms.

Safer Than the Alternative

Without a supervised range, gun owners practice on unsupervised private property. A professional facility actively reduces community risk.

"
This facility is not merely a commercial venture; it is a vital community asset that the majority of voters in Baldwin County recognize as both a necessity and a benefit to public safety.

— CHRISTOPHER JACKSON, BALDWIN COUNTY RESIDENT

"The ability to train regularly with firearms is equally as important as your right to own a firearm. Keeping your skills sharp is crucial for safety, both in training and in the unlikely event a firearm is needed. Without a regular range within reasonable driving distance, many Foley and Gulf Shores residents are unlikely to train as necessary to maintain competency in safety and performance."
